Civil Litigation

Johnston Ming Manning LLP has a strong Civil Litigation practice group. It includes lawyers who are experienced in all areas of advocacy and at all levels of Court in Alberta. Four of our former firm members have been appointed judges in the various courts of the Province of Alberta.

We represent clients in cases involving:

Debt collection and creditors' rights,

Corporate disputes, including shareholder and partnership disputes,

Commercial disputes such as breach of contract, and breach of statutes such as the Fair Trading Act and the Sale of Goods Act,

Real Property disputes, such as failed sale transactions, builders' liens, and construction law,

Landlord and Tenant matters including applications for possession, landlord distress, breach of lease contracts, and damage claims,

Estate Litigation and Dependents' applications.
